Mechanical Engineer - Mandarin Speaking (Singapore)

Location: Singapore

Job Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs and P&IDs based on project requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing.
• Review project specifications and ensure designs comply with customer requirements.
• Prepare engineering documents including equipment lists, valve lists, piping schedules and instrument lists.
• Review 3D skid models, GA drawings, piping layouts and skid structures.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation (EIA) engineers.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors, fabricators and subcontractors.
• Review vendor engineering documents and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Participate in internal and external design reviews.
• Prepare O&M manuals and provide support during testing and commissioning.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in industrial water/wastewater treatment.
• Experience in industrial water treatment skid design is required.
• O&G industry experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and specifications.
• Able to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Willing to travel when required.
• Mandarin proficiency is required for communication with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers and regional stakeholders.
