Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Research & Development (R&D) team in Singapore. The intern will support engineering activities related to fire suppression systems and components, with a strong focus on pressurized gaz systems. This role offers hands-on exposure to product development, testing, and innovation within a safety‑critical engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support R&D projects involving fire suppression systems and mechanical components
  • Assist in the design, development, and improvement of pressurized gaz systems, including cylinders, valves, piping, and discharge devices
  • Perform basic mechanical calculations, evaluations, and design reviews
  • Participate in prototype assembly, laboratory testing, and system validation
  • Analyze test results and contribute to design optimization and continuous improvement
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and engineering drawings
  • Collaborate with R&D engineers and cross-functional teams on innovation initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a MASTER degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
  • Familiarity with pressurized systems, fluid mechanics, or thermodynamics
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest or coursework related to fire suppression systems or fire protection engineering
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
  • Basic understanding of pressurized gaz systems or industrial safety systems
  • Interest in R&D, testing, and product development environments
