Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Research & Development (R&D) team in Singapore. The intern will support engineering activities related to fire suppression systems and components, with a strong focus on pressurized gaz systems. This role offers hands-on exposure to product development, testing, and innovation within a safety‑critical engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support R&D projects involving fire suppression systems and mechanical components
- Assist in the design, development, and improvement of pressurized gaz systems, including cylinders, valves, piping, and discharge devices
- Perform basic mechanical calculations, evaluations, and design reviews
- Participate in prototype assembly, laboratory testing, and system validation
- Analyze test results and contribute to design optimization and continuous improvement
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and engineering drawings
- Collaborate with R&D engineers and cross-functional teams on innovation initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a MASTER degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
- Familiarity with pressurized systems, fluid mechanics, or thermodynamics
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest or coursework related to fire suppression systems or fire protection engineering
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of pressurized gaz systems or industrial safety systems
- Interest in R&D, testing, and product development environments
