About the Company:
Our client is a Singapore-headquartered technology company specializing in advanced test equipment for the optical communications and semiconductor industries.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop precision mechanical structures for optical communication automated test equipment.
- Develop high-precision motion platforms, optical alignment mechanisms, temperature-control modules, probe modules, machine structures and tooling fixtures.
- Conduct structural mechanics, thermal deformation and vibration analysis to support micron-to-nanometre-level alignment accuracy and long-term equipment stability.
- Coordinate with machining suppliers and follow up on parts fabrication, prototype assembly and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot structural design, manufacturing and process-related issues.
- Prepare and maintain mechanical drawings, BOMs and assembly/process documentation.
- Collaborate with commissioning and testing teams to verify prototype performance and continuously optimise mechanical designs.
- Support the engineering team with mechanical process optimisation and troubleshooting during mass production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Precision Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of mechanical design experience within precision equipment, automation or semiconductor equipment.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent mechanical design software.
- Knowledge of high-precision motion systems, linear motors, air-bearing platforms and/or vision alignment systems.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD and other design software master the model selection and design of high-precision linear motors, air bearing platforms and visual alignment systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on R&D experience in semiconductor probe stations, wafer test equipment and silicon photonics coupling stations.
