Mechanical Engineer

. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair marine machinery such as main engines, generators, pumps, compressors, and hydraulic systems.

. Supervise and coordinate ship repair, maintenance, and overhaul activities onboard vessels or in shipyards.

. Conduct installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning of marine mechanical equipment.

. Prepare technical reports, service reports, and job completion documentation.

. Perform condition checks, vibration analysis, and performance evaluations for marine equipment.

. Review vessel machinery issues and provide corrective action plans.

. Assist in preparing job quotations, scope of work, and material requirements for marine projects.

. Coordinate with shipowners, superintendents, and technical managers to understand repair needs.

. Work closely with welders, fitters, technicians, and contractors to ensure smooth job execution.

. Ensure all repair and service work follows marine safety standards, class requirements, and company procedures.

. Conduct onboard inspections and attend vessels during dry-docking or afloat repairs.

. Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within schedule and budget.

. Support root cause analysis for mechanical failures and propose preventive measures.

. Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables required for marine jobs.

. Provide technical assistance during sea trials, load tests, and equipment performance checks.
