Mechanical Engineer

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Mechanical Engineer at Hack-Nation's Global AI Hackathon in Singapore. The role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components relevant to the success of hackathon projects. Responsibilities include utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed designs, engaging in research and development tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute project deliverables efficiently. Hybrid work allows employees to work both from the Singapore site and remotely, as per project requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and Machine Design
• Experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
• Understanding of Research and Development (R&D) processes, with a problem-solving mindset
• Strong Project Management skills, including planning, coordination, and execution
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively across diverse teams
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Previous experience in AI or hackathon-related initiatives is an added advantage
