Job Description
- Create and optimize designs for mechanical systems used in marine vessels, offshore platforms, and renewable energy installations, including High Voltage AC/DC platforms.
- Project Management: Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers and operation team, to ensure integrated and sustainable solutions.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all designs and systems comply with contract specification, industry rules and regulations, and safety protocols.
- Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including equipment technical specification, machinery arrangement drawing, equipment sizing calculation, functional design specification, site acceptance test and marine operating manuals.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine and renewable energy technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the marine, offshore or renewable energy sectors.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), Navisworks and knowledge of marine and renewable energy systems.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with data analysis and interpretation.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
