Verify the technical standards/specification/datasheet/calculation/drawings from tender, package system providers/sub-contractors/suppliers and make sure piping and valve design meet requirement.
Prepare the technical specification/datasheet for piping, pipe support and valves.
Prepare Piping layout and support design based on P&ID, 2D/3D drawings and conduct piping system design calculation, pressure drop analysis, pipe stress analysis, piping and valve selection and sizing, 3D pipe design and/or Piping ISO drawings, MTO.
Coordinate piping design and interfaces with various disciplines to ensure that engineering schedule and project objectives and needs are achieved and exceeded.
Work closely with BIM team for piping design, Layout drawings and 3D model development.
Prepare material take off and requisition for project / tender and to ensure items procured are in accordance with specifications and schedule.
Prepare technical submissions for piping system design and work closely with Team Leader to liaise with client for submission approval.
Participate in construction, installation, start-up, testing and commissioning activities.
Ensure compliance & perform any other duties as requested by design lead/ engineering management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Mechanical Eng, or related engineering discipline.
5 years and above in piping design in process plant (such as chemical plant, incineration plant, food waste, water/wastewater plant, offsites & utilities, ACMV, pollution abatement, etc) and hands on experience working in fast paced, diverse and multi-disciplined projects and O&M activities.
Familiar with piping design related code of practice and standards in Singapore, ASME, ANSI, JIS & PED.
Experience with Revit/AutoCAD Plant 3D preferred & in other related design software/applications.
Familiar with Microsoft Office software.
Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Willingness to take on responsibility and work overtime to meet deadlines.
Ability to work with a diverse team.
Able to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.
Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion.
