HMT LLC has an open position for a Mechanical Engineer,the primary owner of designated Engineering projects, responsible for executing projects according to customer's specifications and being a key point of communication between the Engineering team and our Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Construction teams as required. The Mechanical Engineer is to be a well-rounded individual able to balance Engineering Design with effective communication and leadership.

Position Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field (master's degree preferred)
- Effectively communicate in English technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences (written and spoken)
- API 650 work experience (5+ years) with floating roof design knowledge preferred
- Design experience (5+ years) of sealing systems for floating roofs within the oil and gas industry
- Strong drafting ability with proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and experience in Inventor and Vault software
Responsibilities:
- Work with international Engineering teams to execute assigned projects
- Represent Engineering professionally with internal and external customers
- Effectively manage and take ownership of assigned Engineering projects, including creating schedules, budgets, drawing packages, and calculation reports
- Communicate all project updates, including scope, schedules, and costs within the Engineering team and with associated Project Managers
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Installation personnel and support
