Mechanical / Electrical Engineer

Job Summary: You will receive hands-on training and guidance to help you develop your skills in lift systems. Gain hands-on engineering experience through direct mentorship from the Mechanical Manager and real-world troubleshooting.

Drive digitalisation, productivity improvements and spare-parts management while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Develop your technical expertise with a clear pathway towards specialist, supervisory and management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Understudy the Mechanical Manager to learn lift troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repair methods
• Carry out mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of lift/elevator systems
• Identify faults and perform effective repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Handle breakdowns, corrective maintenance, and planned repair works in line with safety standards
• Support digitalisation efforts and improve repair processes
• Assist in cyclical planning, including scheduling and resource coordination
• Conduct site inspections and basic time studies to improve productivity
• Monitor and manage critical spare parts, ensuring proper usage and availability
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals for repair work
• Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and vendors to complete jobs on time
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities
• Follow all safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures

Requirements:

• Diploma with experience or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience in lift/elevator repair, maintenance, or mechanical services
• Basic knowledge of lift mechanical systems and components
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions:
• Mix of on-site work and occasional office duties
• May involve working at heights and in confined spaces
• Shift work or standby may be required for breakdowns
• Fast-paced environment focused on safety and reliability
