Mechanical Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: CRANE DESIGNER

Responsibilities

. Responsible for all conceptual designs, mechanical design, crane calculations, cost control, fabrication drawing and BOM generation

. To prepare engineering design and equipment selection based on customers requirement

. Provide AutoCad drawings support for Projects and Sales Team with detailed design and technical calculations

. Responsible for Europont (In-House Application), BOM List and GA Drawings

. Responsible for 2D Drafting and 3D Modelling

. Carries out basic and detailed engineering design including calculations / analysis according to project requirement

. Follows established procedures and guidelines to design and install products and services that is required

. Attends site meetings and customers meeting when required

. Monitor all quality related activities on the project

. Any other duties assigned by Management from time to time

Job Requirements:

. A Diploma, Bachelor's / post-graduate degree or other relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Designing aspect from a recognized institution.

. Preferably experience in the similar field.

. At least 3 years & above practical experience in designing required, candidate with crane design experience will be added advantage.

. Proficient usage of 2D & 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD &/or Microstation,

Staad Pro (Engineer), Microsoft Word & Excel.
