Mechanical Design Engineer (Senior / Lead)

Job Description:

• Perform design verification and validation testing to ensure compliance with specifications, safety regulations, and product requirements

• Define technical requirements and features for semiconductor and automation equipment

• Develop concepts, architecture, and detailed design of new machinery

• Design mechanical systems involving motors, actuators, gear drives, pumps, and valves

• Produce detailed engineering drawings using 3D CAD software, incorporating GD&T principles

• Improve and upgrade legacy machine designs for enhanced performance and reliability

• Apply analysis tools such as Fishbone Diagrams and FMEA to assess design risks and optimize solutions

• Troubleshoot mechanical and automation equipment, providing practical solutions and improvements

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering

• 3+ years of experience in automation or semiconductor equipment design

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:

  • Design of automation or semiconductor equipment

  • High-precision machine design

  • High-speed pick-and-place mechanisms

• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and ability to produce detailed mechanical drawings

• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and automation systems

• Ability to work independently with high motivation

• Confident communicator capable of liaising with all levels of the organization
