Our client is a Marine and Offshore Industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer to be part of their Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.
Responsibilities of Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Convert product and system requirements into practical mechanical designs while ensuring performance, safety, and manufacturability.
- Develop and test prototypes, analyze results, and refine designs to improve product reliability and functionality throughout the development cycle.
- Design machinery and equipment layouts to optimize space utilization, accessibility, operational safety, and maintenance efficiency.
- Conduct research on user needs, product specifications, and market trends to support new product development.
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation including CAD drawings, 3D models, bills of materials (BOM), and technical specifications using tools such as SolidWorks.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical product design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
