Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client was established in the year 1995 and they are specialized in automation systems and equipment. The company line of business includes manufacturing metal cutting machine tools.

Job Description:

- Conceptualize, design, and develop automation equipment and mechanical systems for cleanroom and industrial applications.

- Prepare engineering design, detailed drawings, and project cost estimation.

- Manage projects from concept stage to manufacturing and final commissioning.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement design improvements and cost optimization for existing platforms.

- Provide technical solutions and troubleshooting for design issues during project execution.

- Review and verify engineering drawings and designs to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.

- Liaise with customers on technical specifications, design reviews, and product requirements.

- Lead machine installation, testing, and commissioning at customer sites when required.

- Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards (ISO9000, SEMI-S2, SOP39)

- Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in automation equipment, semiconductor, HDD, or precision engineering industries.

- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is mandatory.

- Experience in pneumatic system design and pneumatic circuit diagram preparation is required.

- Knowledge of linear motion systems.

- Strong experience in preparing fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and machine layout drawings.

- Strong problem-solving ability with a practical engineering mindset.

- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced project environment.

- Good communication skills in English.

Compensation:

- Working location: Eunos, Singapore

- Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm

- AWS entitlement

- Performance bonus (subjected to company and work performance)
