Responsibilities:
- Develop concepts for mechatronic sub-assemblies and assemblies that meet specified requirements.
- Design product-related mechanical parts and pick-up tooling.
- Run feasibility studies estimate effort, product cost, and key risks.
- Apply design-to-cost principles across the design lifecycle.
- Create 3D models and BOMs with accompanying 2D drawings in line with BESI standards.
- Ensure designs comply with safety requirements and relevant international machinery standards.
- Raise Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and implement approved design changes.
- Plan timelines and coordinate deliverables for assigned topics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally-especially with Product Marketing on customer-specific requests (CSR) to achieve project goals.
- Prepare and present technical reports to internal teams and customers support Operations and Technical Support on design-related inquiries.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years (or equivalent) in automation/equipment industries.
- Strong hands-on experience in mechanical design, build, and testing, with a solid grasp of electromechanical component interactions.
- Good knowledge of mechanical parts evaluation and qualification.
- Exposure to structural dynamics/modal analysis is an advantage.
- Proficient with CAD and FEA tools (e.g., Creo, Solid Edge, Mechanica/ANSYS).
- Experience with equipment architecture design and system integration.
