Who we are looking for

Hydroleap is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving Hydroleap's proprietary designs, developing and optimizing water treatment processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be at the heart of transforming ideas into reality. You'll design mechanical systems and equipment that keep wastewater treatment plants running efficiently and sustainably. From concept sketches to final implementation, your work will directly contribute to cleaner water and a healthier planet.

What you will be doing

  • Innovate & Design: Work with Product Specialist to improve Hydroleap's proprietary electro-coagulation, electro-oxidation designs. Develop mechanical designs for pump skids, piping, valves, and treatment equipment.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with Hydroleap's Process and Electrical & Automation engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Ensure Excellence: Apply ISO, ASME, and local standards to guarantee safety, reliability, and compliance.
  • Drive Sustainability: Optimize systems for energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
  • Grow: Contribute to R&D projects.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years mechanical design experience, ideally within the wastewater or process industries
  • Solid understanding of fluid mechanics and expertise in selecting materials suitable for corrosive environments
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology
  • Proven ability to develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Proficiency with 2D (AutoCAD) & 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) a must
  • Knowledge of CFD/FEA programs a plus
  • Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional engineering and project teams
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for sustainability, innovation, and contributing to solutions that make a positive global impact
