Responsibilities:
- Analyse competitor products and create new design concepts using CAD tools.
- Drive design validation activities including reviews, testing, and FMEA to ensure product performance and manufacturability.
- Maintain and manage design documentation, including supporting patent reviews.
- Collaborate with customers and manufacturing teams during product launch and implementation.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements, cost optimisation, and process enhancements.
- Investigate and resolve customer feedback or issues related to product design.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Requirements:
- Min Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineer.
- Min 5 years of experience in product design and development, ideally within connector design and/or electronic components.
- Experience in design control, design management and engineering analysis
