Design and optimization of material handling systems (baggage handling, parcels handling, cargo facilities) and logistics systems including conveyor system designs, steelworks, layout plans, equipment design, and fabrication.
Coordinate with internal team members, project management, customers and suppliers for design and calculation, component selection, manufacturing, purchase and assembly.
Analyze customer design proposals, specifications and manuals to evaluate design requirements.
Prepare mechanical design drawings and specifications for submissions, coordinate and follow up on all submissions till final project completion.
Prepare fabrication detail drawings, schedules, evaluate alternatives, and handle reports in accordance with applicable standards where is necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Min 2 years of working experience with mechanical design, experience in baggage or material handling system design is preferable.
Proficient in 2D and 3D AutoCAD, Naviswork and Microsoft Office software applications.
Experience with REVIT software is preferable.
Strong knowledge of materials properties and applications, fabrication methods.
Demonstrate interest in baggage handling projects and complex systems.
