Planner, Global Material Planning manages quality and compliance between the company and third-party manufacturers, ensuring products meet GMP standards and customer needs. Responsibilities include vendor selection, relationship management, and resolving technical or scheduling issues. The position also involves site visits, documentation, and supporting contract supplier operations under supervision.
- Monitor quality, compliance, and regulatory aspects between the company and third-party manufacturers.
- Manage relationships, technical issues, schedule conflicts, quality concerns, vendor selection, and evaluation.
- Provide contractors with the necessary information to meet quality standards.
- Act as liaison to ensure products are manufactured following GMPs and released to meet customer needs.
- Identify potential new contractors and assess financial stability of new suppliers.
- Coordinate development of documentation for contractor manual.
- Respond to cost and feasibility requests and obtain vendor quotations.
Under close supervision:
- Conduct site visits to contract manufacturing facilities to observe production/testing and review compliance.
- Support operations of contract suppliers, including technical issues, quotations, vendor selection/evaluation, schedule conflicts, and quality issues.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (based on job nature and hiring manager's criteria).
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
