Supports Material Planning Specialist and work according to current material planning systems, parameters, models and processes in regard to material and spare parts forecasting, provisioning and inventory management.
Creates and maintains material master records in the Maintenance Management System as required and maintains Bill of Materials data for assets to facilitate easy identification of spares parts when required for the assigned area.
Analyses and forecasts the spare parts requirements within the assigned area (Forecasting and Inventory, GSE or Cargo), and co-ordinate with P&L and relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of spare parts in the most cost effective manner.
Analyses the Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) requirements, including outsource, in the assigned area of dTS and establish AMC's by co-ordination with relevant stake holders (P&L and Maintenance planning)
Manages spare parts warranty process and ensure that the process is effective in the assigned area.
Ensures the inventory process for rotables & Free of Cost (FOC) spares is followed by co-ordinating with all relevant stakeholders and monitor and provide regular report on cost saving achieved
Plans and conduct quarterly reviews of all parts and adjust inventory parameters accordingly.
Prepares monthly forecast for all PM parts in the assigned area, to ensure parts are available for the planned PM schedule.
Prepares reports for Material Planning Specialist on consumption pattern and item type/class.
Liaises with Engineering, Planning, P&L counterpart, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)/Vendors/suppliers and Workshops to resolve queries related to parts and avoid shortages and unavailability of parts.
Analyses the spare parts procured through Purchase Requisition (PR) and converts the required spare parts to inventory if required, in order to reduce the lead time and optimise cost.
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Material Planning Assistants to ensure that work processes are implemented.
Ensures safety of staff and that they have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to work safely by providing support, direction , being a role model for the desired safety behaviours and leading with safety.
Supervises the activities and work of direct reports by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that work with is carried out efficiently in line with the individual's targets.
Reviews non-moving, obsolete, repairable and expendable items and identify surplus stock items to reduce and optimize the inventory.
Reviews the parts requirements and inventory parameterization by interpreting maintenance manuals, engineering orders, service bulletins, illustrated parts catalogues and associated technical publications.
Ensures that the cost-benefit rewards of holding inventory while minimizing the risks and cost of nil stock, are maximised by adjusting inventory levels based on trends and requirements to align the spares philosophy to maintenance strategy in the assigned area.
Analyses unserviceable and VOR (Vehicle Off Road) asset report regularly to establish reasons and initiates corrective and preventive action to reduce unserviceable levels and NIL stocks of Critical Items.
Ensures compliance to all relevant safety policies, procedures and controls across the department and conduct safety briefings regularly while intervening when there is risk exposure, role model safe behaviours and follows up on corrective actions
Supports Material Planning Specialist to establish Recommended Spare Parts List (RSPL) on receiving new equipment and ensures relevant Preventive Maintenance (PM) parts are reflected in relevant Job plans.
Provides support to dnata International Airport Operations as and when required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of expertise
Degree with 2-3 years of experience in Material Planning in a multinational company.
