Job Description
A Masseur (Non-Medical) provides professional massage services aimed at relaxation, stress relief, and general well-being. Unlike medical massage therapists, this role does not involve diagnosis or treatment of medical conditions. The work is typically offered in wellness centers, spas, beauty salons, hotels, or fitness facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform various massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, aromatherapy, deep tissue, foot reflexology, hot stone, etc.) to promote relaxation and customer satisfaction.
- Assess clients needs and recommend appropriate massage services.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients.
- Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards, including cleaning equipment and massage areas after each session.
- Uphold professional boundaries and provide services strictly for non-medical and wellness purposes.
- Promote spa/wellness packages and products when required.
- Manage appointments and keep accurate service records.
Requirements
- Relevant certification or training in massage techniques (non-medical).
- Prior experience in a spa, wellness center, or hospitality setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene practices.
- Professional, ethical, and respectful conduct at all times.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
