Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong finance professional to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role plays a key part in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, and internal control oversight within a regulated banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily MAS regulatory ratio computations to ensure compliance and deliver timely notifications as required
- Compile and submit monthly and quarterly MAS regulatory returns in strict adherence to regulatory requirements
- Manage and resolve regulatory queries by performing detailed variance analysis to support accurate and compliant reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare annual financial statements that meet statutory and organizational standards
- Evaluate accounting implications of new products, complex transactions, and changes in business arrangements to ensure accurate financial treatment
- Maintain and enhance finance-related internal control procedures to strengthen governance and risk management frameworks
- Provide financial insights and support for ad-hoc assignments and projects to address evolving business needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Professional Accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, Chartered Accountant)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance experience within a bank, financial institution, or accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of MAS regulatory reporting requirements and financial reporting standards
- Good understanding of internal controls and finance operational processes within a regulated environment
