Job Description

About Us

Love, Bonito is Southeast Asia's leading womenswear brand, built with a mission to empower women to find confidence through style. Incorporated in 2010 in Singapore, we've since grown from a humble online startup into a multi-channel business with over 20 stores and counting across Asia and a thriving online presence.

For the next decade, we are looking to expand through new categories, markets, wholesale partnerships, and brand acquisitions. We are evolving into a next-generation regional consumer group — one that blends heart with performance, and creativity with technology.

At our core, we're a team of builders, dreamers, and doers who believe culture is more than words on a wall — it's how we show up every day. We move fast, stay curious, and take bold bets on ideas and people we believe in. Here, you'll find a community that challenges you to grow, trusts you to lead, and celebrates you for being you. Together, we're shaping the future of Asian brands — from right here in Southeast Asia, to the world.

Why join us

At Love, Bonito, you'll do more than just a job — you'll help build a movement. We're creating an organization that's lean, bold, and full of heart — where every person has the space to make an impact. Here's what you can expect:

  • Purpose with performance: We're building a world-class Asian brand that competes globally. We hold ourselves to high standards and operate with purpose, integrity, grit and excellence. Join us if you take customer service excellence seriously and are passionate about creating real impact!
  • Growth that's real: We are known to be incredibly dynamic and fast-paced. You'll be expected to learn fast, stretch beyond your comfort zone, and work alongside people who challenge and support you in equal measure. Don't join us if you're looking for a comfortable, fully structured setup, but do join us if you're excited to build, shape, and make an impact together!
  • Culture at our core: If you're looking for a no-corporate-BS environment, you'll fit right in. We lead with empathy, celebrate individuality, and believe that great work comes from trust, not titles. We believe in teamwork and effective collaboration - because when we run together, we go further. If this speaks to your values, come join us and be part of #TeamLB!

Join us as we redefine what it means to build an enduring global consumer group.

The role

Love, Bonito's marketing team is creative and energetic. What we are building now is the commercial rigour layer that makes creativity count. Reporting directly to the CEO, you sit outside the marketing pillars and your job is to make sure they are all pointed at the right objectives, on time, on budget, and measurably delivering. You are not here to run campaigns. You are here to ensure every campaign is worth running.

  • Strategic Campaign Discipline
  • Own the briefing standard — every campaign must have a clear objective, hero products, channel plan, and KPIs before it is approved
  • Challenge briefs that are idea-led rather than objective-led — ask the hard questions before resources are committed
  • Run post-campaign reviews — what did we set out to do, what happened, what changes next time
  • Performance Analytics & Insight
  • Own the weekly marketing performance scorecard — produce one clear, decision-ready CEO view
  • Go beyond reporting — translate what the data means and what should change as a result
  • Partner with the Data team to improve marketing attribution and measurement frameworks
  • Budget Management & Dynamic Forecasting
  • Own the total marketing budget — track actuals vs plan across all pillars weekly
  • Produce a dynamic monthly run rate forecast — flag overspend and reallocation opportunities in real time
  • Build quarterly budget reviews with scenario planning for CEO decision-making
  • Planning Rigour & Timeline Governance
  • Own the global commercial marketing calendar — every campaign and launch in one place
  • Hold pillar heads accountable to timelines — flag slippage early, escalate when needed
  • Manage the quarterly planning cycle — translate strategy into 90-day plans with clear milestones
  • Cross-Pillar Accountability
  • Act as the commercial conscience of the marketing organisation — challenge whether activity is strategically sound and financially disciplined
  • Produce a monthly marketing health report for the CEO — performance, forecast, risks, recommended actions
  • Drive a culture of analytical rigour — raise the bar on how decisions are made and defended

What success looks like in 6 months

  • Every campaign has a clear brief, a defined objective, and a post-campaign review
  • CEO receives one clean weekly marketing view with no conflicting reports
  • Budget tracked weekly; run rate forecast live and updated monthly
  • Timeline slippage is the exception — and when it happens, flagged early
  • Marketing team is seen as commercially rigorous, not just creatively driven

What sets you apart

  • Makes the uncomfortable call — flags a bad campaign before it goes live, not after
  • Connects marketing spend to commercial outcomes as a matter of habit
  • Rigorous without being bureaucratic — process makes the team faster, not slower

Who will not be a fit

  • Marketers looking for a campaign or creative role — this is commercial and analytical first
  • Those comfortable reporting what happened without driving what changes next
  • Anyone who softens feedback to avoid conflict — this role requires direct challenge

How we work

  • Clarity over complexity
  • Fewer, bigger bets
  • Hands-on, accountable leadership
  • Open challenge, fast decisions

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4-7 years in a commercially rigorous environment — consulting, marketing analytics, commercial finance, or strategy in a consumer or e-commerce business
  • Strong financial acumen — owns budgets, builds dynamic forecasts, explains variances clearly
  • Highly analytical — builds models, spots patterns, translates findings into decisions
  • Enough marketing fluency to challenge a brief — knows what good looks like
  • Confident pushing back on people more senior or more experienced than you
  • Scale-up experience strongly preferred — comfortable building processes from scratch
