Ageing Asia is Asia Pacific's first ageing market consultancy social enterprise focused on the business of ageing and the fast-growing silver economy. We work with businesses, governments and community partners to drive innovation in eldercare, senior living and age-tech, and to improve quality of life and care for older adults across the region. Through platforms such as the World Ageing Festival and Ageing Asia Innovation Forum, we curate global best practices and partnerships that are reshaping how societies in Asia Pacific age.

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and strategic Marketing Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of Ageing Asia's content and communications output. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping our brand voice across all owned channels, producing compelling content that engages our audience, and managing all forms of publicity materials. You will bring a strong editorial instinct and a marketing mindset, with the ability to translate complex topics in ageing, healthcare, and longevity into clear, resonant narratives that inspire and inform.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Editorial

•    Develop, write, and edit high-quality content across all owned platforms, including social media, email newsletters (EDMs), website copy, event collateral, and thought leadership pieces.

•    Maintain a consistent brand voice and editorial standard across all content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Ageing Asia's mission and positioning.

•    Build and manage a content calendar that aligns with business priorities, campaigns, events, and industry moments.

•    Produce long-form and short-form content including articles, interview write-ups, case studies, reports, and social media posts.

•    Collaborate with subject matter experts, partners, and our founder, Janice Chia, to source insights and translate them into compelling thought leadership content.

Social Media Management

•    Own and manage Ageing Asia's social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), including planning, posting, and community engagement.

•    Develop platform-specific content strategies that grow audience reach, engagement, and brand visibility.

•    Monitor social media performance, analyse trends, and optimise content based on data-driven insights.

•    Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep our presence relevant and effective.

 

EDM & Email Communications

•    Plan, write, and manage all outbound email communications, including newsletters, event announcements, member updates, and campaign mailers.

•    Manage the EDM calendar, audience segmentation, and distribution schedules in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

•    Track open rates, click-through rates, and engagement metrics, and use insights to continuously improve email performance.

Publicity & Marketing Materials

•    Oversee the creation and production of all publicity materials, including event programmes, brochures, press kits, banners, digital ads, and promotional assets.

•    Work closely with designers and external vendors to ensure all materials are on-brand, professionally produced, and delivered on time.

•    Manage media and press relations where required, including drafting press releases and liaising with journalists or media partners.

•    Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external communications touchpoints.

Campaign & Communications Planning

•    Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns tied to key events, programmes, and initiatives.

•    Contribute to communications strategy, helping to define messaging frameworks, audience targeting, and channel mix.

•    Coordinate with internal teams (events operations, client services, programme) to ensure communications are aligned and timely.

•    Track and report on campaign performance, drawing insights to inform future planning.

Requirements

Experience & Background

•    Min. 3 years experience in a communications, content, or marketing role, with a strong emphasis on content creation and editorial work.

•    Demonstrable experience managing social media channels, EDMs, and publicity materials in a professional setting.

•    Experience working within or adjacent to industries such as healthcare, eldercare, ageing, is an advantage.

•    Prior experience in a media, publishing, or content agency environment is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

•    Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English; ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and formats

•    Strong understanding of content marketing principles, SEO basics, and digital communications best practices.

•    Proficiency in social media management and scheduling tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite).

•    Familiarity with EDM platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or equivalent.

•    Eye for visual storytelling; ability to brief designers effectively and provide clear creative direction.

•    Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple content streams and deadlines simultaneously.

•    Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the content function.

Education

•    Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.

•    Additional certifications in digital marketing, content strategy, or social media are a plus.
