Market Risk Analyst (Maternity Cover)

Key Responsibilities:

. Daily trading P&L generation and reporting to traders and management

. Daily validation of trade economics of trades done against trade recaps or executed contracts

. Monitor VAR consumption against VAR limits and report breaches

. Perform analysis of the key drivers of P&L and reconciliation against trader's estimate

. Develop and maintain good working relationships with various functions within the business, including trading, operations and finance

. Create and maintain risk reports, presenting findings to senior management to make informed decisions

. Any other tasks assigned from time to time

Skills/Qualifications:

. Over three years of experience in product control/market risk is preferred, though we are open to junior applicants or graduates who have gained some practical experience

. Industry knowledge in the energy/metals/carbon sectors preferred

. Ability to build/review/amend excel/VBA models

. Strong analytical and decision-making skills

. Excellent communication skills

. Good command of Mandarin in reading, writing and speaking is essential, as the candidate would need to work closely with Mandarin- speaking counterparts

. Candidates with accounting qualifications will be preferred
