Job Purpose
Our Asia Pacific company is a successful and growing business with ambitious plans for continued growth.
We are currently looking to recruit an Analyst to undertake market research in our target (re)insurance markets and support market-facing business development activity. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge and experience of key (re)insurance markets and industry trends as well as experience of conducting marketing research.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building & maintaining a real time data base of leading (re)insurers in all target territories & sectors and their current rating status with all rating agencies as part of a structured development pipeline
- Assist in the pricing of new rating proposals
- Conduct thorough and efficient marketing research to identify trends, new business opportunities
- Prepare trip reports ahead of visits to specific countries/markets
- Assist in planning and coordinating, and attending business meetings with target companies
- Commence building a network of relationships with clients and other stakeholders
Research, qualify and manage leads and assist in converting leads into new business, and prepare regular action and progress reports - Prepare management reports and support information to monitor progress against plans and budget
- Be able to explain the rating process and other key features
- Be able to contribute to market development discussions
Skills & Experience
- 1-3 years of relevant/industry experience or 2 years of working experience
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) in the English language
- Fluency in Vietnamese language required as this role will be liaising with Vietnamese clients and/or regulator
- Knowledge/Fluency in Korean language preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong presentation skills and attention to detail
- Experience in research and applying analytical analysis
- Knowledge of key (re)insurance markets and industry trends preferred, especially the different classes of business and different reinsurance programs used
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and a CRM software
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related discipline
- Additional relevant professional qualifications are welcome (ACII, etc.)
