Job Description:

1. RightShip & Vetting Inspection Preparation:

1.1 Guide Bulk Carrier vessels in preparation for RightShip inspections and various Vetting inspections (Charterers).

1.2 Develop and implement pre-inspection checklists, and support vessels in addressing historical observations.

1.3 Follow up on inspection outcomes and assist vessels in closing findings and observations.

1.4 In charge of Rightship platform report preparation and update timely.

2.Liaison with Charterers and External Stakeholders:

2.1 Act as the company's technical and safety interface with charterers, cargo owners, and inspection bodies.

2.2 Coordinate responses to safety questionnaires, document submissions, and follow-up clarifications.

2.3 Support commercial operations by maintaining a strong safety reputation with charterers.

3.SMS Review and Improvement:

3.1 Assist in the review, revision, and continuous improvement of the Company's SMS in compliance with the ISM Code.

3.2 Ensure alignment of SMS procedures with RightShip, Vetting, Flag State, Class, and PSC requirements.

3.3 Incorporate lessons learned from inspections, incidents, and industry best practices.

4.Crew Training and Competency Development:

4.1 Conduct internal training for shipboard personnel on Vetting, RightShip requirements, and safety management.

4.2 Prepare training materials, guidance notes, and case studies.

4.3 Coach Masters and senior officers on inspection readiness and best practices.

5.Vessel Visits and Condition Assessment:

5.1 Carry out vessel visits / audits as required to assess operational and safety conditions.

5.2 Evaluate onboard practices, crew performance, and SMS implementation.

5.3 Prepare vessel visit reports with clear observations, risk assessments, and corrective recommendations.

6.Safety Performance & Market Competitiveness:

6.1 Support initiatives to enhance fleet safety performance, inspection outcomes, and compliance standards.

6.2 Contribute to improving the Company's marketability and charterer acceptance through strong inspection results.

Job Requirements:

1. Education & Professional Background

1.1 Degree or diploma in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, or related disciplines.

1.2 Seagoing experience as Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer, or Senior Officer is preferred.

2. Experience

2.1 Solid knowledge of RightShip inspections and Vetting processes.

2.2 Experience with ship management companies, charterers, or Vetting-related roles is an advantage.

2.3 Good understanding of ISM Code, SMS, PSC, Flag State, and Class requirements.

3.Skills & Competencies

3.1 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with shipboard and shore teams.

3.2 Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and propose practical solutions.

3.3 High level of professionalism, responsibility, and safety awareness.

5. Willingness to conduct vessel visits and occasional travel and be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
