We are partnering with a well-regarded maritime organisation to find a Marine Superintendent with experience in product tankers. The role focuses on ensuring vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in line with all regulatory and environmental requirements.
Oversee the daily operational readiness and voyage performance of assigned vessels.
Promote and maintain full compliance with all health, safety, security, and environmental requirements.
Coordinate mandatory vessel audits and inspections with recognised bodies and relevant authorities.
Manage quality inspections from oil companies and ensure accurate submissions to required industry online platforms.
Review and approve voyage routes and conduct onboard reviews of navigational practices when needed.
Ensure vessels meet all regulatory, port, terminal, operator, and charterer requirements.
Liaise with national maritime administrations, port authorities, and classification bodies on compliance matters.
Maintain and update the company's documented safety and operational management system to reflect current regulations.
Provide guidance, training, and support to vessel crews on safety, performance, and procedures.
Participate as a member of the organisation's emergency response team.
Undertake additional operational projects and tasks as assigned.
Holder of a Master Mariner certificate (highest class preferred), or at least two years of shore-based experience focused on safety, environmental compliance, and operational oversight for tankers.
Previous sailing experience on product tankers or chemical tankers is essential.
Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations covering safety, security, environmental protection, and crew standards.
Familiarity with oil company inspection processes and tanker industry operational expectations.
Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
