Marine Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and tests on marine navigation systems and equipment to assess their condition and performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems and issues in marine navigation systems and equipment.
• Perform repairs and replacements on marine navigation systems and equipment using appropriate tools and methods.
• Prepare and maintain service reports and documentation, such as work orders, invoices, and warranty claims.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders to provide technical support and guidance.
• Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Research and implement new technologies and best practices to improve marine navigation systems and equipment.
• Comply with marine codes, standards, and regulations.
• Manage and supervise service projects and teams.
• Conduct training and mentoring for junior service engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Diploma in marine engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a marine service engineer or a similar role
• Knowledge of marine navigation systems and equipment and their operation and maintenance
• Proficiency in marine software, such as HMI and PLC control systems
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
