Job Description

Peak Ocean is seeking a Marine Operations Specialist for LNG Vessel Maritime Supervision division in Singapore.

Job Purpose: Under the leadership of the Commercial & Maritime Department Manager, be responsible for the daily professional operation and compliance management of the company's LNG vessels, undertake the implementation of LNG shipping safety norms, international convention requirements and on-site operation coordination, ensure the standardization, safety and efficiency of all links of LNG vessel daily operations, and provide professional maritime operation support for the LNG fleet.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. LNG Vessel Maritime Supervision & Daily Coordination. Guide and supervise the ship management company's special maritime supervision work for LNG vessels, track the implementation of daily operation plans of LNG fleets (including navigation, berthing, loading/unloading, etc.), conduct real-time information communication and regular work contact with ship management parties, and timely feedback and follow up the handling of daily operation problems of LNG vessels.
  2. LNG Special Compliance & Document Management: Undertake the daily communication and coordination with international official maritime organizations (ISO, ISM, ISPS, MPA, IMO) and LNG industry-specific institutions (classification societies, port maritime authorities) sort out, file and update the compliance documents of LNG vessels (including special operation permits, convention compliance certificates, gas carrier qualification documents, etc.), and ensure the validity and completeness of all operation-related certificates and files.
  3. LNG Vessel Safety Technical Requirement Tracking & Dissemination: Track, collect and deeply study the latest technical requirements and industry norms of the International Maritime Organization, relevant competent authorities and classification societies for LNG gas carrier sort out professional safety operation information and timely release it to the ship management company and internal relevant posts, and organize the learning and implementation of LNG special safety technical norms.

Job Qualifications

  • College degree or above in Maritime Navigation, Shipping Technology or other related majors LNG Gas Carrier Operation Related Qualification Certificate is preferred.
  • Familiar with LNG industry-specific international conventions and norms (IGF Code, SOLAS for gas carriers, MARPOL Annexes), national maritime laws and regulations and regional port operation rules for LNG vessels understand the basic working principles of LNG vessel key systems (cargo hold, gas handling, ESD, low-temperature piping).
  • Proficient in using various office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio) and network applications skilled in sorting out and managing maritime operation documents and databases able to use professional maritime communication tools and LNG vessel operation information query systems basic ability to read and analyze LNG vessel technical drawings and operation manuals.
  • Good communication skills (able to read international maritime conventions, LNG vessel operation documents) strong coordination and communication capabilities (able to communicate efficiently with ship management companies, maritime authorities, classification societies and LNG terminals) good information collection, sorting and summary capabilities strong sense of work detail and problem identification ability.
  • Possess correct moral values and good maritime professional ethics have strong self-discipline and self-management ability and can strictly abide by LNG shipping safety operation norms be honest, upright, responsible and rigorous in work have good pressure bearing capacity and emergency response awareness be proactive in learning and mastering the latest LNG shipping industry norms and technical knowledge.
  • With more than 3 years of working experience in shipping operation management, experience in cooperating with international maritime organizations, classification societies or LNG terminal ports is preferred experience in maritime safety information statistics and report compilation is an advantage.
