Marine Mechanical Technician

Arc Marine Engineering Pte Ltd specializes in ship repairs with core experience in diesel engines. We are looking for dedicated and competent Service Technician to join our team of marine technical experts and professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the scope of work and job assigned to conduct repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting and reconditioning of ship engines and mechanical equipment onboard vessels and in workshop.

• Apply knowledge and hands-on experience for servicing of marine engines 2 & 4 Stroke Main/Aux Engines, pumps and other parts.

• Update the Technical Manager of additional jobs not quoted.

• Write time sheet and service reports, and get confirmation from ship.

• Strictly adhere to safe work procedures and quality manual.

• Perform other related tasks as maybe assigned

Requirements

• Technical qualification or diploma in marine or mechanical engineering.

• Experience with Caterpillar and/or Cummins engines preferred.

• Having electrical background and/or seaman book is an added advantage.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in similar capacity with proven track record of high quality results.

• Able to understand technical drawings and manuals.

• Willing to travel on short notice for overseas onboard vessel jobs.

• Team player and customer focused.

• Able to work on weekends, holidays and odd hours to complete machinery works before vessel departure.
