Job Summary

We are a marine engineering and aluminium boat builder seeking an experienced Diesel & Petrol Mechanic to install, service, and repair Yamaha, Mercury, and Isuzu marine diesel engines (inboard and outboard).

Responsibilities

• Install Yamaha, Mercury, and Isuzu marine diesel and petrol engines on boats to ensure proper fit and function
• Service marine engines by performing routine maintenance tasks to maintain optimal engine performance
• Troubleshoot mechanical, fuel, and electrical faults on marine engines to identify causes and implement repairs
• Diagnose engine issues using technical skills to restore engine operation efficiently
• Repair mechanical, fuel, and electrical systems on marine engines to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Perform preventive maintenance and conduct sea trials to verify engine performance and reliability
• Assist with rigging engines, installing controls, and integrating engines into boat systems to support vessel readiness

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience working with marine or automotive diesel and petrol engines

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong knowledge of marine diesel and outboard systems to support effective troubleshooting and repairs
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members to complete projects safely and efficiently
• Responsible, hardworking, and safety-conscious work approach to maintain a safe work environment

Other Information

• Salary: $1,800 - $4,000 per month
