Key Responsibilities
- Handle direct and reinsurance broking within the Marine Insurance sector, covering lines such as H&M, IV, LOH, War, P&I, Charterers Liability, Defence (FD&D), Delay, Builders Risks, Terminal Operators, and Ship Repairers Liability.
- Support other brokers in the team by producing slips, processing closings, and accurately documenting insurance policies.
- Manage ongoing policies, including addenda and declarations, in coordination with the Broker responsible for the account.
- Maintain proper filing and housekeeping of policy documents in designated SharePoint folders.
- Ensure compliance with Latitude's procedures, including KYC, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, and sanctions checks, as well as MAS regulations.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required and collaborate with Latitude staff across international offices to foster team spirit.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, reinsurers, and cedants, while expanding networks to enhance Latitude's profile with clients and insurers.
Requirements
- Certificate in General Insurance (BCP, PGI, ComGI) preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in Marine Insurance, preferably in H&M and cargo.
- Relevant degree strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and underwriters via email and phone.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn, develop, and progress within the marine insurance sector.
