About the Role:
Our client, a recognised marine services provider, is seeking a Marine Cargo Officer to support their bunker operations onboard vessels. This role involves handling cargo documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance and coordinating bunker delivery processes. It is ideal for individuals with prior experience on bunker tankers and the required bunkering certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily bunker operations onboard assigned bunker tankers.
- Ensure accurate recording and handling of cargo and bunker documentation.
- Comply with SS600, TR 48, and SS648:2024 standards during all bunkering activities.
- Coordinate with vessel crew, port authorities, surveyors and other stakeholders.
- Follow the company's shift schedules and be prepared to stay onboard during assigned duties.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and assist in preparing reports post-bunkering.
- Maintain a high level of compliance, safety, and operational accuracy.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by vessel or fleet management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Bunker Clerk or Cargo Officer onboard bunker tankers.
- Certified in Basic & Advanced Bunkering Courses (SS600 & TR 48).
- Certified in SS648:2024 - Code of Practice for Bunker Mass Flow Metering.
- Willing to work on shift rotations and stay onboard vessels as needed.
- Meticulous, reliable and able to follow through with tasks independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Open to Singaporeans and Singapore PRs only.
