Marine Broker / Marine Broker Trainee

Location: Jurong East, Vision Exchange
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

We are looking for a Marine Broker / Marine Broker Trainee to join our Singapore office. Candidates with a marine, shipping, shipyard, offshore or engineering background are encouraged to apply. Prior broking experience is not required, as training will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with marine broking activities and coordinate with clients, shipowners, shipyards and suppliers.
• Review and compare quotations, specifications and commercial documents.
• Prepare quotations, invoices, reports and other documentation.
• Assist with basic accounting and administrative tasks.
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations, orders and payments.
• Support marine projects and gradually develop into a marine broker.
• Travel locally or overseas when required.
• Work on weekends and Public Holidays when required for business/project needs.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Marine, Maritime, Shipping, Engineering, Business or related fields.
• Marine/shipping/shipyard experience preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination and numerical skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Basic accounting knowledge is an advantage.
• Good command of English.
• Willing to learn, travel and take on a hands-on commercial role.
• Candidates without broking experience but with relevant marine experience are welcome to apply.
