Responsibilities :
Process Development and Optimization:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Implement best practices and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead a team of manufacturing engineers, technicians, and other staff.
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide mentorship.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Product Innovation and New Product Introduction (NPI):
- Work closely product design teams to introduce new products.
- Evaluate feasibility, scalability, and manufacturability of new designs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the product life cycle.
Equipment Management
- Evaluate existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure optimal equipment performance.
Quality Assurance and Process Control:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures.
- Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and address deviations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, Six Sigma, or other relevant standards.
Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
- Analyze production costs, material usage, and labour expenses.
- Prepare budgets, track spending, and identify cost-savingopportunities.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams.
Collaboration withCross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with production, supply chain, and logistics teams.
- Resolve production bottlenecks, supply issues, and other operational challenges.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering
- 15 years of manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and quality management
- Proficiency in CAD software, statistical analysis tools, and project management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Drive alignment between engineering and other departments.
