Manufacturing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, product quality, and timely production delivery while leading manufacturing teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
• Oversee manufacturing activities in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
• Manage production schedules, manpower allocation, resource planning, and equipment utilisation to optimise operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to manufacturing supervisors, team leaders, and production personnel.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
• Lead investigations into manufacturing deviations, non-conformances, and operational issues, ensuring timely implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and improve manufacturing processes.
• Support manufacturing audits, regulatory inspections, validation activities, and documentation reviews.
• Monitor manufacturing performance indicators, including production output, yield, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards across manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing, with demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of cGMP requirements, manufacturing processes, and pharmaceutical quality systems.
• Experience in managing manufacturing teams, production planning, and operational performance.
• Familiarity with deviation investigations, CAPA, change controls, and regulatory inspection requirements.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in process optimisation, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies would be advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
