Manufacturing Engineer (Automation & Robotics)
Location: Woodlands
We are looking for a hands-on and driven Manufacturing Engineer to support and optimize our production processes, with a focus on industrial automation and robotics. This role plays a key part in improving productivity, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, test, and commission industrial robotic systems and advanced automated machinery
- Provide hands-on technical support during machine assembly, integration, and final testing on the production floor
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, implementing solutions to minimize downtime and defects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, R&D, Engineering) to achieve manufacturing targets
- Work closely with technicians on machine assembly and support engineering teams on design improvements and BOM updates
- Interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) revisions
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to meet or exceed product standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve manufacturability
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards across all manufacturing activities
- Support product design teams to ensure designs are optimized for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in industrial automation or manufacturing engineering
- Experience in setting up and supporting automated machinery or robotic systems
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and familiarity with manufacturing tools and systems
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and production workflows
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles in real-world scenarios
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and develop technical capabilities
