Our client, a leading innovator in the medical device industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing Manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the calibration, optical alignment, and final testing of advanced Cytek Cytometer Systems - contributing directly to products that make a meaningful difference in the life sciences field.
- Design, develop, and continuously improve manufacturing processes by researching, modifying, and testing methods and equipment
- Evaluate manufacturing processes through structured research programs, drawing on expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
- Drive manufacturing efficiency by analysing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
- Ensure product and process quality through the design of robust testing methods, establishment of standards, and confirmation of manufacturing processes
- Lead, train, and guide test technicians in their daily activities, priorities, and schedules
- Review Final Test Procedures and evaluate Final Test Results, providing actionable technical input
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce cost and scrap
- Collaborate with global teams across Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure seamless production operations
- Prepare detailed reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising production data and trends
- Manage Bills of Materials, Non-Conforming Material documentation, and Supplier Quality processes
- Provide manufacturing decision-making support through cost analysis, production scheduling, and future requirements planning.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent discipline
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience, including a demonstrated leadership component
- Medical device industry experience is required
- Experience with multi-sub-system equipment encompassing electronic, optical, fluidic, and software components is highly advantageous
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Engineering Change Order (ECO) systems, Device History Records (DHR), and the creation of Final Test Procedures, Reports, and Bills of Materials
- Competency in the use of hand tools, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and microscopes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
