Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking team member to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, assembling, repairing, and inspecting wooden pallets to meet customer specifications and company standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hand tools, power tools, nail guns, and saws to assemble or repair wooden pallets.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood components according to specifications.
- Inspect pallets for defects and ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Stack, sort, and move pallets as needed using manual labor or forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading/unloading materials or finished goods.
- Report damaged tools, machinery, or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Meet daily production targets and work collaboratively with the team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn new processes.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.
Work Environment:
- Indoor/outdoor factory setting, often noisy and dusty.
- Fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- May be exposed to varying temperatures depending on season and facility conditions.
