Reporting to the Team Leader - Engineering or his designate, you are requiring to: -
Experience in precision manufacturing and engineering skills to provide technical support for customer RFQ, technical reviews with a focus on turnkey orders, and to develop and strengthen in-house gun drilling process capability.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
- To review customer drawings, specifications, and BOM, understand technical requirements.
- To provide machining process cycle-time estimation and submit to the Sales team.
- Preparing markup drawings & detailed subcon scopes for the Purchasing team.
- To assess in-house capability, feasibility, and cycle-time for
- To provide technical advice to Sale, Quality and Supply Chain team.
- Liaise with internal and external customers on requirements and propose solutions.
- Looking for opportunities for improvement to complete CI project with DMAIC knowledge.
- Provide engineering expertise to resolve and troubleshoot technical issues arise in manufacturing
- Other duties as assigned from time to time such as process router creation, technical reports, etc.
- Actively participate and involve in appropriate development of HSE matters in areas of hazard / incident identifications, risk assessments and determination of controls
- Ensure work activities and behavior achieved conformity to the HSE policy, objectives and procedures outlined in the HSE management system and compliance to applicable local legal requirements

Person Specification
Knowledge and Skills:
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings with good understanding of GD&T.
- Able to estimate cycle time and machining effort based on customer drawing & BOM.
- Able to demonstrate a strong technical background of gun drilling to aid the gun drilling process.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes (turning, milling, deep-hole drilling/gun drilling).
- API 5CT Specification Knowledge.
- Ability to communicate effectively across the functions.
- Ability to work well under pressure and take on new challenges simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Proficient in AutoCAD / SolidWorks application
Experience:
- Min 5 years working experience with knowledge in oil & gas products and its applications
- Min 5 years of relevant working experience with solid knowledge in CNC machining or precision engineering.
- Experience in using ERP system.
- Demonstrated practitioner of Kaizen, lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma techniques
- Basic project management skills.
- Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment
