ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process Design & Optimization:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to reduce waste and increase productivity.
Acquiring New Projects:
- Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to acquire new contract manufacturing projects.
- Refine work instructions and manufacturing processes to meet the specific needs of new projects and clients.
- Present process capabilities and improvements to potential clients, highlighting the company's ability to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Production Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing problems related to machinery, materials, and processes.
- Work closely with operators and production teams to ensure smooth production flows.
Equipment & Tooling:
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new manufacturing equipment or technologies.
- Assist in the design and maintenance of tools, jigs, and fixtures to support manufacturing processes.
Collaboration & Training:
- Work with R&D, product design, and other departments to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports related to production efficiency, downtime, and other performance metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role or related field (depending on the company's requirements).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Experience in refining work instructions and improving processes for new manufacturing contracts is highly desired.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and process control.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and control techniques.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, ERP software, etc.).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, particularly when working with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
