Manual Tester

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system requirements and functional specifications to understand business and testing needs.
• Collaborate with QA Engineers and project teams to develop effective test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Design, prepare, and execute test cases for functional and regression testing.
• Perform manual testing, analyze test results, and validate application functionality.
• Document testing activities, maintain test logs, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Identify, report, and manage bugs and defects using HP Quality Center (HPQC).
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
• Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing to ensure application stability and quality.
• Organize and participate in daily testing review and debrief meetings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain software quality throughout the SDLC.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), with strong expertise in Functional Testing..
• Experience in the Insurance domain, preferably within life insurance applications.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing, test case design, test execution, defect tracking, and regression testing.
• Hands-on experience with HP Quality Center (HPQC) for test management and defect reporting.
• Good understanding of QA methodologies, project management practices, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and testing frameworks.
• Ability to analyze functional specifications, document test scenarios, and troubleshoot application issues.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
