Job Summary
You will supervise and manage crew replacement and welfare on vessels, ensure compliance with company policies, verify crew-related reports and invoices, and support operational and budgetary processes to maintain smooth crewing operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise crew replacement planning and approve arrangements for trainees, supernumeraries, and OBM on vessels following established procedures
- Implement and monitor vessel compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy to ensure crew safety and well-being
- Monitor crew mental welfare, physical health, and availability of on-board entertainment amenities to support morale
- Report any crew-related concerns promptly to Section Head or Manning Operation Team for resolution
- Arrange uniforms and CTM upon Master's request to meet operational needs
- Supervise Ship's Account reports and manage provision and bond stores on vessels to maintain accurate inventory
- Verify all crew-related vendor invoices, GSA, and OD charges to ensure financial accuracy
- Prepare quarterly statements and budgets for crew-related expenses to support financial planning
- Conduct vessel visitations during Singapore port calls to engage with Masters and crew for operational feedback
- Verify crew reports in PAL and documentation in Shipmate system to maintain compliance and accuracy
- Manage crew appraisal processes and maintain control over performance evaluations for vessel crew
- Supervise MSMC and GC/LC arrangements to ensure proper crew certifications and compliance
- Handle crew-related PNL claims for respective vessels to resolve financial matters
- Maintain organized records in both hard and soft copy formats as required for audit and reference
- Assist in preparing and distributing crew-related instructions and circulars within the fleet to ensure consistent communication
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 years of management-level experience in crewing operations within ship management or manning agency
- Strong numerical aptitude applied to financial and operational data verification
- Proficiency in PC applications to manage reports, documentation, and communications
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles to support budget preparation and invoice verification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred diploma holders may be considered
- Prior sailing experience is advantageous for operational insight
