What the day will look like

People Risk Strategy & Framework Ownership

• Own and evolve the organization's people risk management approach in alignment with enterprise risk management and security strategies.
• Establish governance standards for people risk frameworks, including risk taxonomy, scoring methodologies, KRIs, KPIs, risk registers, and risk roadmaps.
• Ensure people risk is consistently identified, assessed, prioritized, and documented across the enterprise risk register.
• Maintain oversight of emerging people risks, systemic vulnerabilities, and trend analysis to support proactive risk mitigation and resilience planning.

Security Portfolio Risk Leadership

• Lead the articulation of people risk goals across multiple security portfolios (e.g., physical security, insider risk, investigations, workforce safety, and resilience).
• Partner with security portfolio leaders to align risk objectives, risk appetite, and control effectiveness with enterprise risk priorities.
• Oversee aggregation and normalization of people-related risks across portfolios to present a clear, enterprise-wide risk posture.
• Identify cross-portfolio dependencies, gaps, and compounding risks that may impact people, operations, or organizational resilience.

Risk Reduction & Treatment Oversight

• Direct the development, prioritization, and execution of people risk reduction strategies and workflows.
• Ensure mitigation plans are practical, measurable, and aligned to business operations and risk tolerance.
• Monitor remediation progress, changes in residual risk, and control effectiveness escalate material concerns as appropriate.
• Guide teams in balancing risk reduction with operational feasibility and strategic objectives.

Risk Governance, Communication & Influence

• Serve as a primary people risk subject matter expert for enterprise and functional risk committees.
• Lead preparation and delivery of people risk reporting, dashboards, and executive-level briefings.
• Translate complex people risks into clear, decision‑relevant insights for senior leaders and governance bodies.
• Drive education and awareness initiatives that strengthen organizational understanding of people risk and accountability.

Enterprise Risk Management Integration

• Ensure people risk is embedded into enterprise risk assessments, scenario analysis, and thematic risk reviews.
• Align people risk practices with broader ERM standards, governance requirements, and reporting cycles.
• Provide thought leadership on people risk maturity and continuous improvement within the ERM program.

People Leadership & Capability Development

• Manage, coach, and develop People Risk Analysts, fostering strong analytical skills, risk judgment, and stakeholder engagement.
• Set clear performance expectations and ensure quality, consistency, and rigor across team deliverables.
• Build scalable processes and tools to support long-term people risk capability growth.

How this opportunity is different

The Manager, People Risk Management leads the organization's people risk capability in support of the security and enterprise risk management (ERM) programs. This role is responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving people risk frameworks, including key risk indicators (KRIs), key performance indicators (KPIs), risk registers, risk roadmaps, and risk reduction workflows across the enterprise.
The role provides strategic oversight of people risk identification and articulation across multiple security portfolios, ensuring alignment to enterprise risk priorities and consistent representation within the enterprise risk register. The Manager, People Risk Management serves as a key advisor to security leaders, senior risk stakeholders, and risk committees, translating people risk into actionable insights that inform decision-making, strengthen organizational resilience, and elevate risk maturity.

This is a people leader role that manages a People Risk Analyst, reporting into the Chief People Safety and Security Services Officer, and operates as part of the Enterprise Risk Management leadership structure.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Proven experience in people risk and enterprise risk management, with hands-on ownership of risk frameworks, governance standards, and enterprise risk integration.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) principles, including risk taxonomy, scoring models, KRIs/KPIs, risk registers, and executive risk reporting.
• Experience leading and influencing across multiple risk or security portfolios, with the ability to aggregate and normalize risks into a coherent enterprise-wide view.
• Demonstrated capability in risk mitigation and treatment oversight, including prioritizing remediation actions, monitoring residual risk, and balancing risk reduction with operational and strategic considerations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience translating complex risk issues into clear, decision-relevant insights for senior leaders and governance committees.
