Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Managing Director to lead our Singapore operations. This role carries full accountability for business performance, including P&L ownership, strategic direction, and organizational leadership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for scaling the business, strengthening market position, and building a high-performing team to support long-term regional growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute the overall business strategy for Singapore in alignment with regional and global objectives
- Drive sustainable revenue growth across all channels (Retail, Key Accounts, Distribution, E-commerce)
- Identify new market opportunities, including enterprise and commercial applications
2. P&L Ownership & Financial Management
- Take full ownership of profit and loss, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
- Ensure strong financial discipline and operational efficiency
- Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary
3. Commercial & Channel Development
- Lead go-to-market strategies and product positioning
- Strengthen relationships with key partners including telecom operators, distributors, and major retail accounts
- Optimize channel structure to improve market coverage and sell-through performance
4. Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing cross-functional team
- Foster a results-driven, accountable, and collaborative culture
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability building
5. Operations & Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day operations including logistics, after-sales, and service excellence
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate governance standards
- Enhance operational processes to improve efficiency and customer experience
6. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key representative of the company in Singapore
- Maintain close alignment with HQ and regional leadership teams
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including partners, regulators, and key clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above (MBA is an advantage)
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the consumer electronics, technology, or related industry
- Proven leadership experience with full P&L responsibility
- Strong track record in driving business growth and managing large-scale operations
- Deep understanding of the Singapore and Southeast Asia market landscape
- Excellent commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented environment
- Fluent in English Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage
