Managing Director

Responsibilities:

. Oversee all aspects of company operations to ensure efficiency and operational excellence.

. Develop and implement long term business strategies aligned with company goals to drive the company growth.

. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance management activities.

. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support market expansion.

. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, key stakeholders and partners.

. Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors and buyers.

. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and governance requirements.

. Recruit, mentor and manage senior leadership team members.

. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

. Minimum 10 years experience in the wholesale trade, preferably Fresh Vegetables and Flowers industry.

. Proven leadership experience as a Managing Director role.

. Strong knowledge of corporate finance, operations management, and strategic planning.

. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high performing teams.

. Excellent communication, negotiation and decision making skills.

. Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

. Ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.

. Practical knowledge of import/export operations is an added advantage.
