Job Description
Based in Singapore, the Operations & Managing Director oversees Manufacturing and Supply Chain operations and leads cross-functional collaboration across site functions to drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, balancing global HQ standards with local execution.
As the senior representative of the Singapore site, the role partners closely with customers, regulators, and enterprise leadership while fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture that supports safe, reliable, and profitable growth across the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Lead all site operations, including Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Warehousing, and Logistics.
- Serve as the senior site leader and legal entity representative, ensuring compliance and governance.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across site and global teams to deliver operational excellence.
- Champion safety, quality, and sustainability initiatives while promoting a high-performance culture.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through on-time delivery, product quality, and issue resolution.
- Lead continuous improvement programs and implement Lean methodologies.
- Manage budgets, capital projects, and financial performance to optimise productivity and returns.
- Build, develop, and retain a high performing, engaged team.
This role combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, and people management, driving safe, reliable, and profitable growth across the Asia Pacific region.
The Successful Applicant
- MSc or BSc in Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain; chemical or process industries preferred.
- At least 5 years in senior site or operations leadership roles.
- Proven track record in operational excellence, continuous improvement, and P&L management.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, ERP systems, and operational excellence frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within a multinational, matrix organisation.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
