Our client is a well-established European industrial manufacturer with a strong footprint in Southeast Asia. With over three decades of presence in the region, the company operates a manufacturing facility in Singapore while managing commercial operations across multiple Southeast Asian markets.
They are currently seeking a Managing Director to lead both the commercial growth strategy and manufacturing operations for the regional business.
This role requires a hands-on and commercially driven leader who can drive revenue growth while ensuring operational excellence within the Singapore manufacturing site.
The Role
Business & Strategy Leadership
- Define and drive the strategic direction and long-term growth plan for the Southeast Asia business
- Drive revenue growth across regional markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia
- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to strengthen market position and customer relationships
- Manage the full P&L responsibility for the regional business
Commercial Leadership
- Lead regional sales teams and technical sales resources supporting customers across Southeast Asia
- Strengthen customer engagement and expand key accounts within industrial markets
- Identify new market opportunities and drive sustainable business growth
Manufacturing & Operations Oversight
- Oversee manufacturing operations in Singapore, including production, maintenance and engineering functions
- Ensure operational performance across cost, quality, delivery and safety
- Lead cross-functional teams including supply chain, logistics, customer service, quality, finance, HR and IT
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across the organization
Leadership & Culture
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 60 employees across manufacturing and office functions
- Foster a performance-driven culture built on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Work closely with regional and global leadership to align strategic priorities
The Talent
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management or Business
- Proven leadership experience in roles such as Managing Director, General Manager, Business Unit Head or Plant Leader
- Strong commercial acumen with experience leading sales teams and driving revenue growth
- Solid background in manufacturing or industrial operations
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and full P&L responsibility
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and experienced teams
- Follows through, decisive, and capable of operating in a flexible international organization
