Reporting to the Mobility Business Sector President, the Managing Director is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the global TAFMER business. This role drives medium to long term business strategies, oversees global manufacturing, sales, R&D, and supply chain operations, and ensures sustainable growth, profitability, and market leadership worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute global TAFMER business strategies in alignment with corporate and sector policies.
- Develop and execute midterm plans, budgets, and longterm business designs with medium and longterm strategic perspectives.
- Oversee global manufacturing, sales, R&D, and supply chain operations to ensure stable supply and operational excellence.
- Drive business expansion through market development, new applications, strategic investments, and partnerships.
- Strengthen global sales and supply chain systems to support scalable and reliable growth.
- Enhance organizational effectiveness by establishing appropriate structures and developing talent capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure sound governance, decisionmaking, and compliance with approval authorities and corporate policies.
Requirements:
- Degree qualification with at least 10 years senior leadership experience at Division Director or equivalent level in a global or multinational organization.
- Strong track record in strategic business planning, largescale investment decisions, and Profit and Loss (P&L) management.
- Proven ability to lead diverse, multicultural teams across multiple regions and functions.
- Excellent business judgment, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity, agility, and results orientation in complex and competitive environments.
- Japanese language proficiency is required for effective communication with customers and key stakeholders in Japan.
